There are more misses than hits, and a week feels like a long time in Cuba.
Remarkably, not one of the seven stories takes a shrewd, or even Loachian view of the realities of living in Cuba.
The faded grandeur of the Hotel Nacional features prominently and cliches of ladyboys, cigars, daiquiris and rafts to Miami abound.
